AWT is working in conjunction with Environmnent and Development Advocates (E.D.A) in advocating for conducive and sustainable enviromnet, and community development by sensitizing the people and offering them development education.
In 2019, we started a school programme entitled 'HARNESSING THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH TECHONOLOGY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS AND SUSTAINABILE ENVIRONMENT' where students were sensitized about conducive and sustainable enviromnet, possible future career, and positive use of technology.
The programme featured Young Volunteers for the Environment (YVE Nigeria) represented by Olasunkanmi Dolapo (country director), Peter Moses Oladele, Anuoluwapo Dada (La Charis School Ibadan), and individual specialist volunteers like Ayomiposi Ayodele, and Oyenike Oyejide (Environmentalist, Ornithologist from the University of Ibadan) – Wildlife, Adisa Motunrayo (Mokings Culinary Founder, Leadership & Entrepreneur Coach) – Entrepreneurship awareness, coordinated by Anthony Alex Akinola (Environment and Development Advocates (E.D.A) Coordinator).
Participated schools include His Kindgdom Group of Schools, behind Acorn Petrol Station, New Ife Road, Ibadan. Blessed Comprehensive School, 73 Hope Road, Akinfenwa, Off Old Ife Road Ibadan. Victorious College, 66 Hope Road, Akinfenwa Off Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
With the support of Environment and Development Advocates (E.D.A), we are committed to development by reaching out to secondary school and impacting them with knowledge of the present digital world works and prepare them for innovations which would support the progress of Africa’s Technology.
